Hello, friends!
My name is Stephen Erich, but I usually go by Steve (it doesn’t really matter). I’ve finished up my first year of college at Andrews University, in Michigan, and am currently in Thailand for a year to teach. Other than attending a year of school in MI, I have spent the last eleven or so years in Northern California, so that is basically the place I call home. I’m interested in all sorts of things, but my special interests are:
- My Faith
- Parkour
- Architecture and Art
- Travel
- Business, particularly entrepeneuring with an international emphasis
- String music.
My nametag in the address bar is freeconfidence because of this awesome verse that I came across as I was preparing to start this blog:
“In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” - Ephesians 3:12
I think this verse shows a key concept of Christianity. Because of Christ, we can be blameless and walk with the Father. He gives us the chance to have freedom and confidence. Likewise, now that we have the chance, we must take it. It is never time to be a timid Christian, to cautiously approach the Lord. Instead, we have to throw ourselves at Him as quickly as we can–and gain a shelter in His arms.
“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.” -James 1:6
